The Doulagivers Difference
There are many great trainings and wonderful trainers for End of Life Doulas out in the world.
The one thing that is important to note is that there can be several trainings with the title “End of Life Doula Training” and they can be entirely different curriculums, and usually are.
Picking an End of Life Doula training is a financial commitment and a time commitment, and all training programs have their own teaching styles, perspectives, and focal points.
What sets Doulagivers apart from other trainings?
The Doulagivers Certified End of Life Doula Training Program is a holistic medical training for the non-medical practitioner.
You will learn the top end of life disease processes and the most common medications used in end of life care.
Although you will never perform in a medical capacity, this knowledge and understanding proves to be invaluable to your role as an End of Life Doula.
This information will allow you to anticipate patients’ needs ahead of time and alert the hospice team to any/all changes in the patient’s condition allowing them to quickly adjust the medical care plan leading to optimal daily comfort for both the patient and their loved ones - and that ability is worth its weight in gold.
This program will prepare you to walk into a home in crisis and remain calm while being able to identify what phase of end of life the patient is in and exactly what interventions to recommend based on the specific disease process they are experiencing.
That is the Doulagivers Difference.
How It Works
I am also excited to announce our brand-new student portal. We have completely redone our classroom to enhance your learning experience.
We are 100% committed to providing the highest level of education and certification for End-of-Life Doulas and we want all of our students to be equipped for incredible success - families need you!
This new model will create a totally interactive and immersive learning experience for you, while keeping you on track and providing all the support you need every step of the way.

“I could not have asked for a more thorough or heart-centered class. Honestly, there is nothing I would add or change. From the level of detail covered in the classes to the amount of extra support provided (the online classroom, Doulagivers support team, monthly conference calls, Facebook pages etc.) this class has more than prepared me to begin my end of life doula path and I feel so reassured that Doulagivers will be there with me every step of the way. Thank you Suzanne for being a fabulous teacher, a supportive presence, and for helping us to change lives one death at a time.”
Lucy Pilch
“I had taken another course but it was NOWHERE near what this was. I never felt prepared after the first one. This was so in-depth and Suzanne has such a wealth of knowledge and experience and is so open to sharing. I'm feeling prepared to start helping others now. Thank you so much!”
Laura Cantales
“I loved the pace of this course as it allowed me time to take in new information and process it before moving forward. The questions and answers were always stimulating and informative, and Suzanne's generosity with her time in thoughtfully answering every question was very much appreciated. Her openness and generosity of heart, sharing all her career experiences, made this course very enjoyable and memorable. The case studies were a very important part of the course work and I liked the variety of each case, and the different disease processes, since we may all one day, have that particular case. The dashboard was a little intimidating at first, but support was always available. I had trouble printing out the manual, but I know that I can reach out to do that successfully when I am ready with support. The highlight for me, though, was when Suzanne came to NY for a meet up. That was an amazing experience, and again I am so impressed with her high frequency vibration, which exudes love and connection. My life has been changed by the course in the best possible way.”

This course has been one of the most in-depth end of life education programs I ever experienced. Working in hospice for the past 6 years gave me a good foundation, but this training explained more than my Chaplaincy CPE units ever did. I believe all Chaplains should take advantage of this training because it gives you more tools to provide the support needed. Thank you Doulagivers!
Angie V.
This course & specifically Suzanne are wonderful! I was very excited to begin the course & had rather high expectations... and each session went so far above what I had anticipated. The content covers all areas of caregiving & gives amazing insight into the physical, emotional, psychological & spiritual aspects of the dying process from diagnosis to after death counseling. I wish EVERYONE would take this course. (It also is a great help in getting in touch with your own thought, feeling & beliefs... an added, unexpected bonus). Thank you, Suzanne & Doulagivers!!!
